Good evening fellow classmates. My name is Alva Parra, I'm a full time student at Brandman University. This is my second trimester at Brandman, I plan to graduate Spring 2017. I also work as a full time employee at LAUSD (Los Angeles Unified School District), this is the second largest school district in the country. My major is Social Work, I plan to help fight for a good education for our children. I work with many different children all day, I witness first hand all the help these children need. I want to be the voice for those in need. My goal is to work for LACOE (Los Angeles County of Education), they support 80 public school districts and numerous other agencies in ensuring educational excellence for the region's two million preschool and school-age children. This class will help me better research important information, using other methods other than the ones I have been taught. I know there is countless information on the world wide web, I am also aware that not all the information is correct. One can't believe everything you read online.
